Rachel Niemer
Rachel Niemer, PhD, is an accomplished Director of Strategic Initiatives in the higher education industry, with extensive experience in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, as well as Student Development. Niemer's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and Women's Studies from Bowdoin College, as well as a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry from the California Institute of Technology. Niemer has held numerous roles in academic institutions throughout her career, including Director of Gameful Learning Lab, Office of Academic Innovation at the University of Michigan, Assistant Director of Center for Research on Learning and Teaching at the University of Michigan, and Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Additionally, Niemer was a Graduate Student at Caltech and a Visiting Instructor at Gustavus Adolphus College.
