Eric Blix
Visiting Assistant Professor/Writer In Residence at New College of Florida
Eric Blix is a writer and academic who served as the Writer-in-Residence at New College of Florida from Fall 2020.13 He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Utah, an M.F.A. from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and a B.A. from the University of Minnesota.1 Blix's research and writing focus on the Anthropocene, exploring themes such as climate change, terrorism, and public health through experimental fiction and digital projects.1 He taught courses on fiction writing and electronic literature at New College of Florida.1 Currently, Blix is an Assistant Professor of English at Valdosta State University, where he teaches composition, creative writing workshops, and fiction courses.24
