Heather Holland

Heather Holland is a versatile writer, editor, and interdisciplinary scholar with years of experience teaching composition, creative writing, and literature. She is currently an English and Creative Writing Instructor at Snow College, where she encourages inclusive and student-centered learning, particularly engaging students who otherwise may struggle in a college classroom. As a social-constructionist, she delivers pedagogy that facilitates the growth of a diverse group of students. Prior to Snow College, she worked as a Documentary Research Assistant at Caldera Productions, LLC and was a Part-Time Instructor at the University of Wyoming, where she also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. Heather has two Master of Fine Arts degrees in Creative Writing from the University of Wyoming and a Bachelor's Degree in Integrated Studies: English and Anthropology, with a minor in Creative Writing from Utah Valley University. She is a former Editor-In-Chief, Poetry Editor, and Managing Editor for Touchstones: A Journal of Literature and Art and Managing Editor for Intersections: A Journal of Interdisciplinary Thought, both of which refined her editorial and writing skills. She also served as Doula, Childbirth Educator at Mothers Birth, Research Assistant at Roots Media, and Administrative Assistant for Philosophy and Humanities at Utah Valley University. Heather Holland's expertise lies in conveying pedagogical and editorial ideas in a clear and concise manner, collaborating with others, and utilizing multi-modal and inclusive learning techniques in both the classroom and the written word.
