Acting Head of VC – Pharmstandard Ventures
Elena Starikova is the Acting Head of Venture Capital at Pharmstandard Ventures, a position she has held since April 2020. With over ten years of experience in biotech venture capital, she has developed a strong expertise in evaluating investment opportunities and managing portfolio performance. Starikova joined Pharmstandard Ventures (formerly known as Inbio Ventures) in 2014, where she has been involved in project scouting, financial modeling, and deal structuring.12
In addition to her role at Pharmstandard Ventures, she serves as a Board member at Avelas Biosciences and is a Board Observer at TearSolutions and enGene. Before her tenure at Pharmstandard, she worked as an Investment Manager at Bioprocess Capital Ventures, one of Russia's pioneering venture funds focused on life sciences. Her earlier career includes positions at consulting firms, notably Roland Berger Strategy Consultants.123
Starikova holds a degree with honors from Plekhanov Russian University of Economics and has an MSc in economics and mathematics, specializing in risk management.12
