Elana Karp is a passionate individual dedicated to promoting healthy eating habits in America. She is a Cornell University and Le Cordon Bleu alum, with a diverse educational background ranging from psychology to culinary arts and education. As the head of culinary at Plated, she plays a vital role in shaping the culinary direction of the company.
Elana's educational journey includes a Certificate in Plant-Based Nutrition from Cornell University, a Diploma of Culinary Arts from Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, a Masters of Science in Elementary Education and Teaching from Pace University, a BA in Psychology from Cornell University, and a High School Diploma from The Ethical Culture Fieldston School.
Throughout her career, Elana has held various roles in different organizations, showcasing her versatility and expertise. She co-founded and served as COO at Stocked and Kittch, held key culinary positions at Plated including Chief Culinary Officer, Vice President, and Culinary Director. Furthermore, she contributed to wellness and food education as the Director of Wellness and Food Education at Butter Beans, Inc., and as the Owner/Founder of First Helpings. Elana also has a background in education, having worked as a 2nd Grade Teacher at Harlem Children's Zone and as a Corps Member at Teach for America.
