Gene has a solid educational foundation, having studied BBA in Accounting at City University of New York-Baruch College and later pursuing an MBA in Finance from Fordham University - Graduate School of Business Administration.

Throughout his career, Gene Basov has held significant roles in various organizations, notably serving as the Chief Financial Officer of the Credit Group at Stone Point Capital. Prior to this, he held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Investcorp Credit Management US (formerly 3i Debt Management US). His experience also includes being Vice President / Fund Group Controller for a direct lending platform at Cerberus Capital Management. Gene's financial expertise is further enriched by his past roles as a Financial Analyst at General Motors and as a Senior Auditor at Deloitte & Touche LLP.
