Edmund Moy

Edmund C. Moy is a former government official and businessman with extensive experience in finance and public service. He currently serves as Managing Director at LMF Commercial, LLC.3
Moy was born on September 12, 1957, in Detroit, Michigan, and raised in Waukesha, Wisconsin.1 He graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 1979 with a triple major in economics, international relations, and political science.1
From 2006 to 2011, Moy served as the 38th Director of the United States Mint, appointed by President George W. Bush and confirmed unanimously by the United States Senate.12 During his tenure, he oversaw the financial crisis and recession, managed unprecedented demand for gold and silver bullion, and implemented several coin programs.2
After leaving the U.S. Mint, Moy held various positions in the private sector, including:
- Vice President Corporate Infrastructure for L&L Energy, Inc.
- Chief Strategist for Fortress Gold Group
- Senior IRA Strategist at U.S. Money Reserve
Moy is also an author, having published "American Gold and Platinum Eagles: A Guide to the U.S. Bullion Programs".2 He has been recognized in the numismatic community, being named one of Coin World's Most Influential People in Numismatics (1960-2020) in 2021.1
