Duri Long
PhD Candidate at Georgia Institute of Technology
Duri Long is a fifth-year Ph.D. candidate in Human Centered Computing at Georgia Tech, set to graduate in May 2021. Post-graduation, Duri will take on a role as a Post-Doc/Research Scientist at the School of Interactive Computing at Georgia Tech. Specializing in human-centered AI research, Duri's primary interest lies in AI literacy and human-AI interaction. With a strong focus on improving public understanding of AI and facilitating comfortable interactions between AI and humans in social settings, Duri's research explores human interaction and learning to enhance public AI literacy programs and develop AI that can naturally engage and be creative in social environments. Leveraging methodologies from learning sciences, design research, and cognitive science, Duri's work aims to inform the design of interventions for AI literacy and the creation of AI capable of seamless social interactions.
