    Adriana Garcia is a researcher specializing in social computing, critical data studies, and digital civics, focusing on utilizing social media data to address community and human rights crises through a mixed-methods approach.

    Adriana holds a Master's Degree in Cognitive Science from Universitat Pompeu Fabra, a Master's Degree in Human Computer Interaction from Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis, and a Bachelor's Degree in Animation, Interactive Technology, Video Graphics, and Special Effects from Tecnológico de Monterrey. She also earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Human Centered Computing from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

    Throughout her academic journey, Adriana has been actively engaged in various roles. She served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology, User Experience Research Intern at Google, Research And Teaching Assistant at IUPUI, and Teaching Assistant at Universitat Pompeu Fabra. Adriana has also contributed as an Interaction Designer & Application Developer at Espora Estudio.
