    Brianna Tomlinson is a Ph.D. candidate in Human-Centered Computing at Georgia Institute of Technology, focusing on effective methods for studying engagement, learning, and transfer in multimodal interactive systems. She is actively involved in a grant project to develop and assess accessible auditory displays for PhET Interactive Simulations. Brianna's research interests lie in utilizing auditory displays and sonifications to enhance glanceability and provide overviews of complex information, particularly in interactive simulations and Augmented Reality contexts. She is passionate about exploring how user-centered design can cater to diverse user groups. With a background in conducting usability studies, Brianna has worked on projects like an accessible weather app for Android and a multimodal solar system planetarium at the Fernbank Science Center, all aimed at enhancing learning experiences. She has also contributed to designing auditory displays, implementing new features, conducting focus groups, and supporting classroom research on accessible graphing software. Brianna has been recognized for her academic achievements with the 2019 Campus Life and Community at Georgia Tech Scholarship and as a 2019 Foley Scholar Finalist.
