D.P.A. Dr. Jason Chao

Dr. Jason Chao, D.P.A., embarked on his law enforcement journey in 1993 under the Monterey Park Police Department before transitioning to the El Monte Police Department in 2002. Throughout his illustrious career, he has undertaken various roles such as SWAT team assistant team leader, SWAT team scout, patrol team supervisor, watch commander, detective, defensive tactics instructor, field training officer, Professional Standards (internal affairs) officer, and Police Academy Arrest and Control Instructor. Dr. Chao has been recognized for his exceptional service with accolades including the Medal of Valor and the Meritorious Conduct Medal. He is proficient in Mandarin, Chinese. In addition to his practical experience, he holds a Doctor of Public Administration from California Baptist University, and has pursued further education with Post Doctoral Studies at the University of Southern California, a Doctorate in Public Administration from California Baptist University, and a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from California Baptist University.
