Don Sweeney

Don Sweeney is the Co-Founder and CEO of Ashling Partners, a technology-enabled services firm focused on process automation and artificial intelligence.12 He graduated from the University of Michigan with an AB in Economics in 1995.1 Sweeney has spent his career working in process improvement and automation, with over 25 years of experience in the field.5

After graduation, Sweeney joined Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) and later worked at PeopleSoft's professional services group.12 In 1998, at the age of 25, he founded his first company, Emerging Solutions, which focused on enterprise applications and process improvement. He sold this company to Emtec in 2011 and ran that group until 2017.12

In 2017, Sweeney co-founded Ashling Partners with Marshall Sied.23 The company's name, Ashling, is the Gaelic word for "vision" or "dream".2 Ashling Partners aims to improve internal processes in organizations and impact the future of work through process automation and artificial intelligence.12

Sweeney is also a member of the Forbes Chicago Business Council, where he contributes his expertise on artificial intelligence and robotic process automation (RPA).4 He advocates for the use of automation to benefit employees by taking over mundane tasks, allowing them to focus on more meaningful work.4

Outside of his professional life, Sweeney sits on the board of his son's school and the Board for Positive Coaching Alliance. He also serves as an advisor to several boutique IT and consulting companies.1
