    Dior Vargas is a Mental Health Activist, creator of the POC & Mental Illness Photo Project, and Obama White House Champion of Change. She holds a Master of Science in Publishing from Pace University and a Master of Public Health in Health Policy from New York University. Additionally, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Study of Women and Gender from Smith College.

    Previously, Vargas has worked in several roles, including Regional Program Manager at Bring Change to Mind (BC2M), NYC Regional Planning Consortium Coordinator at NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, and Outreach Coordinator, Project UROK at Child Mind Institute. She has also held positions at Barnes & Noble, Random House, John Wiley and Sons, and The Feminist Press, among others.

    As a queer Latina feminist mental health activist, Vargas has been active in advocating for mental health awareness in communities of color. Through her different roles, she has worked on mental health policy and helped to improve access to resources for those in need. Vargas also uses her creative talents to produce media campaigns and raise awareness about mental health issues.
