David Oppenheim is a highly acclaimed Creative Producer and Researcher with a distinguished career in the film, television, and interactive media industries.

He currently serves as the Director of the Screen Industries Research and Training Centre (SIRT) at Sheridan College, overseeing cutting-edge research in emerging technologies for screen-based industries.

With a background in Design, Interactive Arts & Entertainment, and Environmental Studies, David brings a diverse skill set to his work, having studied at prestigious institutions such as OCAD University and the University of Waterloo.

His extensive professional experience includes roles at renowned organizations like the National Film Board of Canada, where he contributed to award-winning projects like Draw Me Close, Agence, and The Book of Distance.

David's creative contributions have garnered prestigious accolades, including multiple Canadian Screen Awards, a Peabody-Facebook Futures of Media Award, and recognition at esteemed festivals like Venice, Tribeca, and Sundance.

He is a former resident of the Canadian Film Centre's Media Lab and has held positions such as Interactive Producer, Producer/Director, Story Producer, and Content Lead at various production companies.
