As a member of the National Film Board of Canada’s English Program’s Management Team, I contribute to strategic planning. I provide creative vision and expertise in the development and production of media works and in particular of documentary projects. I produce and/or manage a slate of 26 projects; develop partnerships, domestic and international, with a view to securing external financing, viable business opportunities and unique creative partnerships. I support 2 producers and 8 production staff working out of Montreal, Halifax and St. John’s. I collaborate with the Marketing/Communications branch and the Distribution branch in the identification and implementation of strategic goals. I oversee and ensure the smooth functioning of all administrative, financial and operational matters, as I am accountable for the management of the Quebec and Atlantic Centres.

Film and interactive storytelling are my passion. My personal philosophy of supporting underrepresented voices has enabled me to succeed and to inspire and lead others. I have complete ownership of a project’s creative cycle from conception to completion including editorial, creative, technical and financial responsibilities. My mission is to strategically orchestrate a multi-disciplinary group of talented individuals to deliver compelling stories with impact, on time and on budget, via the most appropriate platform and distribution channels, thereby achieving high stakeholder satisfaction with measurable results.

Film & Interactive Producer

As part of post graduate studies in interactivity, assumed full creative, administrative and producing responsibilities for three interactive prototypes: an application called VEILLE ALZHEIMERS to assist caregivers for the elderly; SYMBIOSE a videogame designed to bring couples together through play and cooperation and RATONS NATION an in-situ audio experience to sensitize visitors to the problem of feeding feral raccoons in public parks.

- Identified and developed a slate of family films, many of which were produced in cooperation with foreign partners from Kratky Films (Czech Republic) to China Films (PRC), from Channel 4 (UK) and Pathé (France) to Showtime and Hallmark (US).
