David Appelberg is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in management consulting, technology, data & analytics, and financial services.

He has a diverse skill set that includes expertise in data-driven decisioning, data strategy, technology choices, automation, data security, ethical data use, and organizational/business architecture.

Currently, David holds the position of Head of Data & Automation Strategy at ANZ Bank, focusing on maximizing the value derived from technology and data infrastructure to enhance customer experiences.

Prior to ANZ, he excelled as the Executive of Banking & Wealth at Quantium, held a Principal role at Bain & Company, and managed products at companies like Expedia.com Ltd and Tele2.

David Appelberg is also a talented hobby photographer, capturing various subjects like landscapes, cityscapes, nature, portraits, macro shots, and products. His photography can be appreciated on Instagram under the handle @appelsfotografia.

He completed an MBA at the University of Melbourne's Melbourne Business School, earning the prestigious Clemenger Memorial Award for being the top student in the 2006 graduating class. Additionally, he pursued an MSc in Mechanical Engineering at KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
