Daniel McCready is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Double Time Capital, a solar-focused clean energy investment firm based in North Carolina.12 He is a former U.S. Marine Corps captain who served in Iraq.2 McCready holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Duke University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.2
Prior to founding Double Time Capital in 2013, McCready worked as a management consultant for McKinsey & Company.2 At Double Time Capital, he helped finance numerous solar energy projects across North Carolina, contributing to the state's significant growth in solar power capacity.23
In addition to his work in clean energy, McCready founded This Land, an online store for American crafts, which he later closed to focus on his political career.2 He ran as the Democratic nominee for the U.S. House of Representatives in North Carolina's 9th congressional district in 2018 and 2019, narrowly losing in a special election.2
McCready is married to Laura Thornhill McCready, a children's attorney, and they have five children.2
