Dan Perlman is the chef and owner of Casa SaltShaker in Buenos Aires, Argentina.1 Casa SaltShaker is a "by reservation only" shared dining space where guests enjoy a communal table and a five-course tasting menu with paired wines.1 He also offers cooking classes and privately catered dinners.1 Dan has been involved in the food and wine industry for over four decades, starting as a cook in 1974.1 In 1991, he began exploring wine, training as a sommelier and later becoming a certified advanced sommelier.1
Perlman is also a food and wine journalist and photographer, with his work appearing in various international publications.1 He has served as the food and wine editor for three magazines.1 Additionally, he writes the dining section for Fodor's Buenos Aires.1 Perlman has written several books, including the "SaltShaker Spanish - English - Spanish Food & Wine Dictionary," "Don't Fry For Me Argentina," and "Eat Salt".1
