Innovation Crossroads is a public-private partnership founded by Oak Ridge National Laboratory and is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Advanced Manufacturing Office, Building Technologies Office, and the Tennessee Valley Authority supported by the DOE Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy's Advanced Manufacturing Office and the Tennessee Valley Authority.  This fellowship was provided to leverage Oak Ridge National Laboratory’s (ORNL’s) unique scientific resources and capabilities along with connections to the nation’s top innovators with experts, mentors, and networks in technology-related fields.  This dual focus of providing critical lab resources and business development resources provides Captis Aire the platform they need to take their clean technology onto the commercialization pathway and into the marketplace.

Captis Aire provides capital and energy efficient emissions control technology that enhances the efficiency of wood drying and reduces greenhouse gas emissions.  Track record includes successful deployment and operation of the Fluidized Bed Concentrator (FBC) pilot unit with Bead Activated Carbon for controlling emissions from wood drying.  Effort included technology identification, coordination with multiple previous intracompany divisions and across multiple previous functional capabilities including engineering, environmental, manufacturing, intellectual property creation, etc.     Entrepreneur - 100%+ committed to to enabling our clients to implement a capital and energy efficient emissions control solution.
