Colette Curran is an accomplished professional with over 19 years of international consultancy experience in leading and delivering Environmental and Social Impact Assessments, Environmental and Social Due Diligence, and Lender's Independent Consultant/Monitoring assignments.
Specializing in 'Category A' and 'B' investments in sectors like oil and gas, transport, energy, and heavy industry, she has worked on prominent projects such as the Nam Theun II Hydropower scheme in Laos, Gorgon Gas and Browse FLNG Developments in Western Australia, and the Eurasia Tunnel Project in Turkey.
Her expertise includes assisting clients through transactions, obtaining approvals, achieving financial close, and ensuring compliance with international environmental and social performance standards such as those of the World Bank/IFC, Equator Principles, ADB, EBRD, and RSPO.
Colette has a strong background in developing environmental and social governance systems, tools, and legal frameworks, and she has contributed significantly to managing transboundary environmental and social impacts, notably with the Mekong River Commission.
Currently, she leads a UK-based team at Arup, providing ESDD services to commercial lenders, private equity investors, export credit agencies, and international financial intermediaries for infrastructure investments across Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and Africa.
With a successful track record in team and national business unit leadership roles, Colette Curran has also managed multi-million-dollar key client programs. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and exploring new cultures with her family.
