Chris DeLeon

Chris DeLeon, a highly experienced game developer and independent educator, is helping people globally learn to make games. He has over two decades of experience in game development and has dedicated himself to sharing his knowledge in various ways. With a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Cognitive Psychology, and HCI, he went on to pursue a master's in digital media, earning a perfect 4.0 GPA from the highly-regarded Georgia Tech.

Chris began his career interning at Will Wright's Stupid Fun Club before quickly moving on to work as an independent and contract game developer on both indie and publisher-funded projects. He later became a Game Development Generalist at ZipZapPlay, which was later acquired and renamed PopCap San Francisco, followed by his tenure as a Technical Game Designer at Electronic Arts Los Angeles.

Chris is the founder of HomeTeam GameDev, formerly known as Gamkedo Club. Additionally, he served as IndieCade's Workshops Organizer for LA from 2014 to 2018 and was also the Alumni Chair at IndieCade. As an independent educator and author, he provides writing eBooks, offering video courses, and mentoring game development practice teams worldwide.
