    With over two decades of experience as a UK civil servant, Chris has held key roles in various government departments such as business, foreign affairs, energy, trade, and No10, covering areas like trade negotiations, bilateral trade relations, and EU trade negotiations.

    Before his civil service tenure, Chris Barton was an Economics & Business Studies teacher, bringing practical teaching experience to his current role.

    He pursued his education at Durham University, where he received a BA (Hons) in Economics, and at the University of York, where he obtained a PGCE in Economics & Social Studies.
