Carmen Ye is a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion and empowering communities of color. She has an impressive background in operations and program coordination, and recently completed her Master of Public Policy at the University of Michigan's Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy, along with a professional development certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Additionally, Carmen studied Social Welfare and Asian American Studies at UC Berkeley, and has experience in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution from Universidad del Salvador. With strong analytical writing skills and a deep commitment to equity and justice, Carmen has worked at organizations such as Make School and LaunchCode, where she served as Director of People Operations. She has also previously held positions at institutions like the Washington Center for Equitable Growth, the Penn Center for Minority Serving Institutions, and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), where she worked with the Chief Human Capital Officer. Beyond her professional experience, Carmen has an impressive academic record with previous coursework at universities such as The Chinese University of Hong Kong and the University of California, Los Angeles. Carmen is also a former Chinatown Alleyway Tours guide at Chinatown Community Development Center.
