    Calvin Wee 黄建咏 is the Co-Founder of The Young SEAkers (TYS), a non-profit organization focused on empowering youth and fostering development in ASEAN countries and China.1 TYS was founded in 2019 by Calvin and two friends, Zi Xin and Shion.1 The organization aims to develop ASEAN-China savvy local talents and has local chapters in all 10 ASEAN countries and China.1

    Calvin believes that "a goal is a dream with a deadline, embodying the essence of a disciplined dreamer". He graduated with a BBA (Honours) from the National University of Singapore's Business School and studied at Peking University, Fudan University, Tsinghua University, and Chulalongkorn University.

    Calvin began his career as an investment analyst in a China-focused hedge fund. He has been involved in speaking engagements and delegations, including the ASEAN-China Young Leaders' Summit and China-ASEAN Youth Summit. He enjoys exploring the culinary world and welcomes discussions on youth development and current affairs in ASEAN and China.
