Calvin 黄建咏 is a disciplined dreamer who believes that a goal is a dream with a deadline. He graduated with a BBA (Honours) as a Fung Scholar from the National University of Singapore's Business School, where he held various leadership positions.

During his academic journey, Calvin also spent time studying at prestigious institutions such as Peking University's Guanghua School of Management, Fudan University School of Management, and Chulalongkorn University, expanding his knowledge and network.

With a strong interest in private equity/venture capital, impact investment, and youth development, Calvin is passionate about driving progress in the ASEAN region, especially in relation to the Belt and Road initiative and economic policies of emerging ASEAN countries.

Currently, Calvin dedicates his efforts to leading and growing The Young SEAkers, a non-profit organization based in Singapore with chapters across all 10 ASEAN countries. Through this platform, he aims to empower ASEAN youth change-makers dedicated to advancing the interests of the ASEAN-China region.

Calvin's competencies include the ability to multitask and deliver high-quality work, a deep interest in China's current affairs and history, proficiency in the Chinese language (both written and spoken), technical skills in financial modeling, and proficiency in using databases such as Bloomberg and Capital IQ.

Throughout his professional journey, Calvin has achieved numerous milestones, including participating as a delegate in various international summits, being recognized for his leadership in youth initiatives, moderating important forums, and winning accolades in case competitions and hackathons.

His academic background spans across institutions like National University of Singapore, Fudan University, Peking University, and Tsinghua University, where he pursued degrees in business administration and related fields. Additionally, Calvin holds a Master of Business Administration from Quantic School of Business and Technology.

In his organizational involvement, Calvin has co-founded The Young SEAkers and been associated with impactful groups like Young Professionals in Foreign Policy, Investment Management Association of Singapore (IMAS), ASEAN Hands, Young China Watchers, and Business China Youth Chapter.
