Desmond Molloy
Desmond Molloy is an experienced programme director with a strong background in peacebuilding activities and senior management in the international affairs industry.
Desmond's expertise includes DDR, CVR, crisis management, and humanitarian intervention. He is a dedicated practitioner and scholar focusing on peacebuilding, disarmament, post-conflict recovery, and P/CVE.
Desmond holds a PhD from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies and serves as a lecturer in Peace & Conflict Studies and Post-conflict Recovery.
His educational background ranges from Military Studies at the Irish Military College to a PhD in International Studies with a specialization in post-conflict recovery, peacebuilding, and COIN from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies.
Desmond is also skilled in Human Security, DDR, and outdoor education, having completed various programs at institutions like University College Dublin, Dublin Institute of Technology, and Tokyo University of Foreign Studies.
He has held key positions at prestigious organizations such as Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia, The Nippon Foundation, UNDP, UN DDR, and multiple UN entities and NGOs, where he has contributed significantly to peacebuilding efforts globally.
