Blanca Garcia is a mental health professional with over a decade of experience working in various settings, including schools, community mental health clinics, hospitals, and nonprofits. She serves as the Director of Mental Health Resources at the Grant Halliburton Foundation, where she provides information, resources, and support to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health and increase access to care. As a licensed clinical social worker, Blanca has supported children and families by providing psychotherapy and case management services while empowering them to advocate for themselves within the mental health system. Her goal is to increase knowledge and access to quality mental health care, particularly for people of color and those with lower socioeconomic status. Blanca has earned recognition and accolades from community partners for her successful design and launch of a new mental health helpline in North Texas and has recently been featured in Dallas Doing Good. A first-generation college student, Blanca has a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from the University of Southern California and a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin.
