He started his career during a time when businesses relied on legacy systems and remote work was limited to clunky VPN connections and heavy laptops.

With the rise of smartphones, particularly the iPhone, Bernd embraced the mobility trend and explored ways to make work life more flexible and mobile.

His journey into IT security began almost accidentally around 2008, where he realized the increasing risks businesses face in an open, connected world.

Currently serving as the Sales Director DACH at Cybereason, Bernd works with leading enterprises in the DACH region, helping them enhance their security strategies.

Bernd is passionate about protecting customers against advanced threats using Cybereason's offensive threat hunting platform, which leverages AI to identify and remediate attacks effectively.

He has previous experience in sales and mobile security roles at companies like Lookout and Check Point Software Technologies.
