Ashley Wennerstrom

Ashley Wennerstrom is an accomplished professional with a diverse educational background and extensive experience in public health and community health initiatives.

She pursued her studies at reputable institutions, including a Bachelor's degree in International Affairs with a focus on Spanish from the University of Colorado at Boulder, a Master of Public Health (MPH) specializing in Maternal and Child Health from the University of Arizona, and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Community Health Sciences from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.

Ashley currently serves as an Associate Professor and the Director of the Louisiana Community Health Worker Institute at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center.

Her previous roles include positions at Tulane University School of Medicine, where she was an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine, Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine, Instructor of Medicine, Director of the Louisiana Community Health Worker Institute, Associate Director of the REACH NOLA Mental Health Infrastructure and Training Project, and also served as the Development Coordinator for AmeriCorps VISTA at New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity.
