Dr. Alfonso Rosales, MD, MPH-TM, is an experienced Maternal and Child Health Independent Consultant with a background in international development, humanitarian response, and epidemic control.
With over a decade of experience, Dr. Rosales has held key advisory roles at reputable organizations such as World Vision US, where he served as the Senior Advisor for Maternal and Child Health from 2012 to 2020.
His expertise lies in strengthening community health platforms to provide essential maternal and neonatal interventions to underserved populations in rural and fragile state contexts across Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
Dr. Rosales is actively involved in research and has contributed significantly to the field, with publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at international health conferences.
He is a dedicated member of the CORE Group, serving on various initiatives and currently holding the position of co-chair of the Health System Strengthening Working Group.
Dr. Rosales holds a medical degree from the National University of El Salvador and a Master's in Public Health and Tropical Medicine from Tulane University.
