Chef Anthony Russo, the son of first-generation Italian immigrants, has a deep-rooted passion for cooking and baking nurtured in his New Jersey home and inspired by his Italian heritage.

Growing up in a household where the kitchen was the heart of family life, Anthony learned family recipes and culinary techniques from relatives, fostering his love for crafting authentic Italian dishes.

At the age of 18, Anthony ventured into the culinary world by opening his first pizza restaurant, Russo's New York Pizzeria, in 1992, where he introduced Houston to genuine New York-style pizza.

With a focus on quality ingredients and traditional cooking methods, Chef Anthony created a devoted following by offering hand-tossed dough, sauces made from freshly crushed tomatoes, and imported Italian cheese blends, all prepared in a coal-fired brick oven.

Russo's Restaurant locations are known for their unique designs, dynamic ambiance, and a chef-prepared menu featuring a variety of dishes, including New York-style pizzas, flatbread sandwiches, and flavorful pasta creations.
