André Luis Azevedo Guedes, DSc is an accomplished professor, researcher, and consultant with a broad background in technology, engineering, and smart cities. He holds a doctoral degree in Civil Engineering - focusing on Smart Cities and Innovation, a post-doctorate degree in Business Administration, and a master's degree in Total Quality Management. Guedes is the author of "Smart Cities - Cidades Inteligentes nas Dimensões: Planejamento, Governança, Mobilidade, Educação e Saúde" and co-author of "Gestão do Conhecimento e Inovação nas Empresas". He has taught in various institutions and coordinated several programs, including the Master's and Ph.D. in Local Development at UNISUAM, where he is currently also a professor for several undergraduate programs in IT. He is a director of the Rede Brasileira de Cidades Inteligentes e Humanas (RBCIH) for the State of Rio de Janeiro and a prominent member of the scientific community, as well as a regular keynote speaker at events such as Rio Info. Guedes has vast experience in IT-related roles, starting as an analyst and going all the way up to the board level in companies such as Serpro - Serviço Federal de Processamento de Dados and AGM Logística e Armazenagem. He has also consulted for large corporations such as Accenture and SONDA, as well as acted as a scientific researcher at the Universidade Federal Fluminense.
