Amanda Pirog

Amanda Pirog is an accomplished professional with a diverse background in libraries, communications, and development.

She holds a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science from Simmons College and a Bachelor's Degree in English - Creative Nonfiction from the University of Iowa.

Amanda currently serves as the Business Research and Instruction Librarian at the University of Washington, where she previously held roles such as Interim Communications Officer, Libraries Advancement Outreach Officer, and Libraries Advancement Coordinator.

Her professional journey includes experiences at various organizations, including positions such as a Development Intern at KEXP, Customer Service Team Member at Whole Foods Market, and Technical Coordinator of Development and Special Events at The Boston Athenaeum.

Amanda's dedication to education and community is evident through her roles as a Graduate Assistant in Economics and Political Science at Simmons College, an Education Assistant at Fort Des Moines Museum and Education Center, and an Americorps Vista at the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs.

Her passion for literature and learning also led her to work as a Children's and Teen Library Temp at the Watertown Free Public Library and a Circulation Aide at the Iowa City Public Library.
