Liz Jolly

Liz Jolly is a prominent figure in the library and information sector in the UK. She currently serves as the Chief Librarian at the British Library, a position she has held since September 2018.12 In this role, she is responsible for leading teams that deliver core activities such as collection development, services for researchers and learners, research strategy, digital scholarship, and cultural programming.2

Prior to her current position, Liz has over 20 years of experience working in various institutions in the university sector. Her most recent role before joining the British Library was as Director of Student and Library Services at Teesside University.12

Her expertise and interests extend to areas such as diversity in the library profession. She was scheduled to give a keynote speech on this topic at the CILIP conference in July 2019.5
