Ahmed Sallam is an experienced renewable energy planning engineer with 8 years of background in the Egyptian Electricity Regulatory Agency (EgyptERA).
His expertise lies in tariff structure, grid technical codes development, grid impact studies, financial modeling, and energy management.
Ahmed holds certifications as a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) from AEE, USA, and as a Climate Change and Renewable Energy Finance Expert from Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, Germany.
He has knowledge in energy modeling, electricity market simulation, and computational general equilibrium modeling.
Ahmed has been instrumental in developing regulatory frameworks for renewable energy projects in Egypt, including Feed-in Tariff, Net-metering, and Wheeling schemes.
His experience extends to drafting Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) for large-scale renewable energy projects and creating tendering documents for EPC services.
He has a solid educational background in Electrical Power Engineering and Renewable Energy, with degrees from Ain Shams University and additional studies in Energy Regulation.
Currently, Ahmed is the CEO and Founder of Advanced Engineering Consultations (ADVEC) and has previously held roles as an independent Energy Consultant, Teaching Assistant, Head of the Technical Department at NCD Swiss Solar, and Senior Renewable Energy Engineer at EgyptERA.
