Product development
•	Proposed feature requirements for building prototypes of the new optical imaging system, developed the test/calibration procedures, and conducted feasibility studies and prototype testing.
•	Optimized test and calibrations procedures, defined calibration specifications and performed statistical analysis on calibration repeatability using JMP.
•	Characterized the functionality and reliability of the new optical imaging system.
•	Provided supporting data on the new optical imaging system’s performance on customer wafers, helping the tool to successfully pass multiple phases in product life cycle. 

Customer Support
•	Led application teams to successfully finish multiple evaluations of the defect inspection tools at major customer sites, got great recognition from customers, and won repeat purchases at all customer sites.
•	Helped the customers to ramp up high volume manufacturing for their newest generation chips by knowing customers’ needs and problems, and successfully solving several complex yield issues.
•	Thoroughly collected and analyzed relevant data when issues happened at customer sites, host urgent calls with engineering teams in division for plan of actions, and led application teams in field to find out the root cause and fix the issues in very limited time.


Product Demonstration
•	Demonstrated the wafer inspection tools’ ability in catching key defects of interest to customers to solve their fabrication process issues.
•	Performed Design of Experiments (DOE) when the tool had gaps in catching challenging defects, thoroughly analyzed the statistics and images, conducted root cause analysis, and worked on optimizing image processing algorithms to close the gaps.
•	Developed Best Known Methods (BKM) for recipe setup on very challenging layers, and these BKM are widely used by application teams worldwide.
•	Crafted and delivered product collaterals and competitive presentations to customers for final product demonstrations.

Applications Development Engineer

(1) Analyzed the relationship between physical/chemical properties of SU8 (a polymer used in lithography) and its performance in lithography processes and products.
(2) Selected methods to measure the properties of SU8 based on capability and cost, including FTIR, GPC and viscometer, assembled a comprehensive design of experiments plan, and calibrated related equipment.
(3) Analyzed the data and process parameter effects of SU8. Improved lithography process by shortening baking time, and discovered effective methods to evaluate the quality of different batches of SU8.
