Our platform makes it simple for any leader or coach to quickly and easily identify knowledge gaps that lead to mistakes and address them. Our technology draws from proven learning science principles to make training more effective for everyone. Our learners consume content in bite-sized chunks - in the flow of work, and on any device. 

We work with hundreds of customers: Fast-food chains upleveling workers on drive-thru management, NFL teams training on playbooks and scouting reports, tech companies onboarding new engineers, pharmaceutical companies readying sales reps for new product releases, and Air Force pilots drilling on emergency procedures.

African Leadership University is one of the newest universities and 'most innovative' companies in the world. Started with the intent to drastically increase the accessibility of a world-class degree to African students, ALU leveraged a tech-forward approach to scale the university's reach while driving costs downward. 

ALU pioneered the Bachelors of Science in Entrepreneurial Leadership, which became the first degree approved in the UK to be 60%+ student-driven. Under the banner "Missions, not Majors" the BSc in Entrepreneurial Leadership (BEL) provides students with the ability to pick a global challenge/opportunity and spend their college years not only learning about it, but dedicating the bulk of their college credit hours to experiencing addressing it themselves, in the real world.

The recipient of many awards (#39 'Most Innovative' in Fast Company, 2019) and accolades (where 'History is Being Made' in New York Times, 2017), ALU was also recognized for outstanding work by the Mastercard Foundation, which endowed the university with over $300 million in funding.

Housed within African Leadership University, ALU's School of Business (ALUSB) was established in 2015 to deliver a world-class program to a global-but-Africa-focused student body. A part-time program, ALUSB's MBA is nearly entirely remote, except for 6 intensives over the 20-month program. Professors consisted of top professors from Harvard Business School, INSEAD, and UCT, as well as experts in pan-African business, and even Rwandan President, Paul Kagame.

ALUSB was created to be one of the only leadership-centric MBAs in the world. Dedicating 30-40% of all coursework to ALUSB's Leadership Lab, students receive a thorough understanding of leadership at the executive level. Focused not only on theory but on practical application of content, ALUSB's V^3 Leadership Model (Virtue-Value Creation-Vision) challenged students to use the coursework as an impetus to hone their on-the-job skills.

Leadership Architect

African Leadership Academy's Centre for Entrepreneurial Leadership (CEL) was founded in 2010 with a seed grant from the Mastercard Foundation to create a new kind of curriculum for young African leaders. Identifying Africa's need for both effective leadership and economic growth, ALA and Mastercard combined efforts to establish Entrepreneurial Leadership as a new field of study that paired the most important skills from the fields of leadership and entrepreneurship.

In 2014, the mandate for CEL expanded to not only support ALA students in learning Entrepreneurial Leadership, but to scale the curriculum in Africa and globally, reaching millions of young people. The Centre for Entrepreneurial Leadership evolved into a business unit within the school with three 'products': pre-packaged curriculum, teacher training, and school consulting. Early clients included African Leadership University, Mpesa Academy in Kenya, LEAF Academy in Slovakia, and St. Mark's School in Boston.

The African Leadership Academy is a pre-university in Johannesburg, South Africa that seeks to develop Africa’s next generation of leaders who are ethical and entrepreneurial. ALA teaches a two-year curriculum in African Studies, Writing and Rhetoric and Entrepreneurial Leadership, as well as the usual core academic courses. We have accepted students and alumni from 46 African countries since founding in September 2008
