Venture Partner

Working alongside a selection of the world's highest circulating media titles (inc. Mirror, The Guardian, HuffPost, NBC News) to enhance their reader offering with best in market coupons content. This involves forming relationships across virtually all areas of the publisher’s core business - including editorial, commerce, product and SEO - to promote close integrations and creative exposure for our brands. 

Responsible for the end-to-end process: sourcing, securing, go to market, strategy, management and growth. I've headed up the growth of this new business pillar from one UK site to ten sites globally and a projected multi-million revenue line (includes team management responsibilities).

Heading up a new PR team at Invitation Digital, working across the company and its two key brands: vouchercloud & giftcloud. Establishing B2B and B2C coverage driving strategies, with weekly outreach campaigns coverage across print, online and broadcast. 

Highlights include: 
*securing prime-time editorial slot on This Morning, reaching our target audience on our peak traffic day of the year (Black Friday), resulting in our biggest surge in traffic to the website all year
*managing the external comms for the company around the Groupon acquisition, a fundamental time in the history of the business

PR Manager

PR Account Director responsible for leading strategy, campaign development and execution across the agency’s three highest billing clients - Virgin Atlantic, Celtic Manor and Spectrum Brands (Remington, Russell Hobbs, IAMS and Eukanuba). 

Development of scalable European campaigns, with toolkits created to cascade UK product launch campaigns across multiple European countries.

Highlights include: securing full page editorial in Grazia for Remington, launching Virgin Atlantic’s Vivienne Westwood uniform and managing the media outreach for easyJet’s 30th birthday uniform in partnership with Cute Circuit, wearable tech and interactive fashion brand.

*managing Remington’s ‘hair-jacking’ programme, replicating specific celebrity looks following high profile red carpet events and selling into media reactively
*management of Remington’s largest ever female product launch, hosting a media and influencer styling event in London attended by OK Magazine Lifestyle Editor and Grazia Beauty Editor among others

As a regular contributor, I am asked to write two or three stories on a specific programme, run the live twitter feed for the duration of the programme and submit these stories on the CMS. I supported a reception age, EAL child with physical and learning disabilities on a 1:1 basis. I communicated with him using basic makaton signs and planned, supervised and encouraged him in undertaking a variety of activities which promoted literacy and numeracy, as well as useful life skills. As well as this I  was largely responsible for his language development, and used various activities and strategies throughout the day in order to improve his level of communication. I also lead reading and writing interventions with groups of children every afternoon, and ran a school dance club once a week.

Upon leaving the position, the child was able to speak between 50-100 words and compose small sentences. He was also able to use makaton signs to communicate and was able to sit/play virtually unsupervised.
