Gigi Sohn

Gigi Sohn is a highly accomplished professional in the field of technology, law, and policy, with a diverse background and extensive experience.

She pursued her education at prestigious institutions, obtaining a JD in Law from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School and a BS in Broadcasting and Film from Boston University.

Gigi has held various prominent roles in organizations dedicated to tech policy and advocacy, including being a Senior Fellow and Public Advocate at the Benton Institute for Broadband & Society.

Her past positions include serving as a Distinguished Fellow at Georgetown Law Institute for Technology Law & Policy, a Technology Policy Fellow at Mozilla Foundation, and a Leadership in Government Fellow at Open Society Foundations.

Gigi Sohn also contributed significantly to the Federal Communications Commission, where she served as Counselor to the Chairman, Special Counsel for External Affairs, and played a key role as President & CEO at Public Knowledge.

Prior to these roles, Gigi held positions such as Project Specialist at the Ford Foundation and Executive Director/Deputy Director at Media Access Project, showcasing her diverse expertise and breadth of experience in the industry.
