Senior Contracts Manager

•	Second hire in legal department and solely responsible for legal matters until new in-house counsel was employed. Saved the company thousands of dollars in outside legal fees per month by providing quick sound advice to the business teams and effectively managing multiple and concurrent matters. 
•	Conduct and analyze trademark searches for marketing materials, infringement claims and private label brand development and protection. Identify trademark and copyright concerns and recommend solutions to business teams.
•	Review, draft and negotiate contracts including, but not limited to, merchandising vendor agreements, sponsorship agreements, limited scope agreements, copyrights licenses, trademark usage agreements, speaker agreements, appearance releases, event contracts and various form contracts.
•	Review product claims, descriptions and labeling for legal compliance. 
•	Police service marks, trademarks and copyrighted content on the internet and draft cease and desist letters. Correspond directly with external parties and outside counsel to resolve intellectual property matters. 
•	Draft training materials for corporate policies and legal guidelines. 
•	Manage domain name portfolio for over 800 domain names including registration, maintenance and enforcement. Implemented changes that resulted in faster domain name transfers and reduced fees paid to outside counsel. 
•	Collaborated with back-end developers to create a solution that materially decreased our receipt of third party trademark claims. Collaborative effort immediately reduced our receipt of cease and desists letters from approximately 3-5 every month to approximately 1-3 every 6 months.
