Zhen Wang

Zhen Wang is a dedicated individual with a passion for elementary education and a focus on Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language (TESOL). Currently pursuing their Master of Education degree in TESOL at the University of Pennsylvania, Zhen aims to deepen their understanding of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) education.

Zhen's commitment to education is evident through their involvement in various volunteer events focused on children's education. With a diverse educational background that includes a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and Visual Impairment from The Ohio State University, Zhen has honed their skills and developed a strong passion for helping children achieve their academic goals within culturally diverse environments.

Their teaching experience spans across different institutions, including serving as an English Language Teacher at Permian Basin Adult Literacy Center, a former Student Teacher at Ohio State School for the Blind, and a former English Teacher at Beixin Childcare Center. Zhen has also worked as a Research Assistant at Schoenbaum Family Center and gained valuable teaching experience at various schools and child care centers.

Zhen Wang's academic journey has underscored their enthusiasm for increasing cultural awareness and promoting diversity. By engaging in student teaching at Asbury Elementary and other educational institutions, Zhen has honed their ability to foster an inclusive learning environment where children from diverse backgrounds can thrive. Their belief in the shared human experiences of love, friendship, and belonging transcends language barriers and cultural differences, driving their mission to facilitate meaningful educational experiences for all students.
