Zara Jamshed

Zara Jamshed is an engineer and data analyst dedicated to climate justice and equity, with a passion for community organizing and poetry. She excels in bringing renewable energy solutions to low-income renters through initiatives like the Solar on Multifamily Affordable Housing (SOMAH) program in California.

Zara holds a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Arts from Smith College, where she honed her technical skills and research abilities.

She has an extensive professional background, having held roles at various organizations. Zara was a SOMAH Technical Specialist, Technical Coordinator, and Program Analyst at GRID Alternatives. Additionally, she served as a SolarCorps Project Management Fellow and played a key role as the Solar for All Coordinator at Environment Massachusetts. Her diverse experience includes work as a Lighting Intern/Electrician and multiple research assistant positions at Smith College.

As a Fellow at the Clean Energy Leadership Institute, Zara continues to advance her expertise in the renewable energy sector while advocating for climate justice and community empowerment.
