Over the years, Zack has held numerous positions that underscore his commitment to helping brands express their true identities. He began his career as a graphic designer at BNIM Architects, gradually working his way up to the role of Design Director and ultimately the Director of Graphic Design. His trajectory at BNIM Architects allowed him to refine his design sense while maintaining a strategic approach to brand storytelling and visual communication. With a keen understanding of audiences and markets, Zack was instrumental in guiding many successful projects during his tenure.
After his significant contributions at BNIM Architects, Zack took his experience to Willoughby Design, Inc., where he served in multiple roles including Art Director, Design Director, and eventually Creative Director and Principal. During this period, Zack played a crucial role in the company’s creative direction, leading numerous branding initiatives that helped various organizations enhance their visibility and connect with their target audiences. His strategic thinking paired with creative craftsmanship resulted in award-winning designs and fruitful collaborations with clients across various industries.
In pursuit of continuous growth and knowledge, Zack furthered his education by attending the Executive Program: Business Perspectives for Creative Leaders at Yale School of Management. This experience allowed him to bridge the gap between creative vision and business acumen, enhancing his ability to craft comprehensive brand strategies that resonate with both stakeholders and consumers alike.
Most recently, Zack has taken on the role of Creative Director at Waltz Creative, where he continues to push the boundaries of brand strategy and design. At Waltz Creative, he thrives on fostering innovative environments, coaxing stakeholders to unify around shared visions, and ultimately creating work that feels authentic and captures the essence of each brand he works with. He aims to dig deep into insights to uncover unique narratives that help organizations stand out in competitive markets.
Zack also shares his extensive knowledge and expertise in the industry through teaching. As a former Adjunct Instructor at the Academy of Art University, he taught graduate students about the intricate world of type systems, emphasizing the importance of typography in effective design and communication.
