Zach Latta is a passionate individual with a strong focus on privacy, open source, and leveraging technology for social change.
At only 16, Zach tested out of high school and made his way to San Francisco, where he became the first engineer at Yo, playing a pivotal role in leading the engineering team and establishing key partnerships with notable entities like the NBA and Motorola.
Following his tenure at Yo, Zach founded Hack Club, an organization aimed at empowering high school students globally to kickstart their coding clubs. Within just two years, Hack Club has achieved remarkable growth, reaching 1% of high schools in the US and expanding its footprint internationally.
Zach Latta's contributions to the tech and education sectors have not gone unnoticed, as evidenced by his recognition in Forbes 30 Under 30, The Daily Dot's 20 Under 20, and receiving the prestigious Thiel Fellowship in acknowledgment of his work with Hack Club.
His educational background includes pursuing studies at the Thiel Fellowship and having attended El Segundo High School.
Currently, Zach serves as the Executive Director at Hack Club, where he continues to make a meaningful impact by fostering coding clubs and tech education among high school students. Prior to this, he held the position of Lead Engineer at Yo and started his professional journey as a Junior Programmer at Run Games.
