Yun Wang

Yun Wang is a highly accomplished individual with a strong academic background and expertise in the field of Computer Science, focusing on areas such as sound event detection, speech recognition, and machine learning.

Yun Wang completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science from the prestigious Carnegie Mellon University's Language Technologies Institute (LTI) in October 2018. During this time, Yun worked under the guidance of Prof. Florian Metze on sound event detection, showcasing a dedication to cutting-edge research in the field.

Prior to completing the PhD, Yun Wang also obtained a Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University. Before that, Yun laid the foundation for a successful academic journey by earning a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University, highlighting a diverse educational background.

In November 2018, Yun Wang transitioned to a role as a research scientist at Facebook, where they joined the Applied Machine Learning group.
