As the business development/project manager at  ACCA South Africa I was tasked to develop and execute business growth strategies to achieve revenue targets . As a senior manager my role was to lead and shape the agenda of the profession in South Africa by enhancing relationships with key stakeholders. Using the organisations global presence and influence as a voice to shape and strengthen the finance and accountancy profession. Going out there everyday, connecting and engaging with businesses large and small, governments, educational establishments and opinion formers. Ensuring that our customers/ members/students and trainees are well informed about top emerging trends, legislation and legal requirements, helping to shape the future.

Business Development/Project Manager

At the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) I was responsible for managing a variety of SAICA Nation Building projects including managing university programmes geared towards transformation of the profession at large. I worked closely with SAICA's Senior Executives across the entire Nation Building unit on various strategic programmes. 

I successfully led the multi-million rand accreditation development partnership between SAICA and The University of Zulu-land aimed at assisting in the development and support of over 400 previously disadvantaged accounting students.

Project Manager: Transformation and Growth

I was responsible for the formulation and the execution of the transformation and growth strategy in support of the Corporate Strategy. Facilitating transformation in the business from an organizational development, change management and membership recruitment equity point of departure. Act as a strategic change leader that enables a culture conductive to transforming the company into an “Employer of Choice and Institute of Choice”. My role thus also oversee the formulation and implementation of policies and procedures, systems, tools and other mechanisms to ensure that the practices optimally lead to organisational transformation and growth which will assist the business with the achievement of strategic objectives. This requires continuous analysis of the internal organisational culture and industry trends, and positioning of resources to ensure business advantage in light of company transformation processes by driving and implementing a fully integrated transformation & growth scorecard and plan which is derived from and aligned to the corporate strategy.  Over and above my role is to delivery sustainable business growth and results.
