Xavier Vilasis

Xavier Vilasis-Cardona is a distinguished academic with a robust background in physics, data science, and engineering. Serving as the Director for Doctoral Studies and a full professor at the Engineering Department at La Salle, Universitat Ramon Llull, he brings a wealth of experience to his role. Xavier leads the DS4DS (Data Science for the Digital Society) research group and actively collaborates with the LHCb collaboration at CERN, overseeing the Experiment Control System for the calorimeter. Additionally, he holds membership in the IEEE Cellular Nonlinear Networks and Array Computing Technical Committee and directs the Master Universitario en Data Science program.
