William Yu

William Yu is the Founder of the Cansbridge Fellowship, an organization established in 2011 to support Canadian university students in gaining international work experience, particularly in Asia. The Fellowship provides a $10,000 scholarship for self-organized summer internships and includes a transformative bootcamp in Silicon Valley.12

Yu's vision for the Cansbridge Fellowship is to promote understanding among Canadian students regarding the dynamic economic and geopolitical landscape of Asia, emphasizing the importance of cross-border collaboration and innovation for future leaders.13 Since its inception, the Fellowship has accepted a small cohort of students each year, with an acceptance rate of under 2%, highlighting its competitive nature.1

In addition to his role at Cansbridge, William Yu is also involved in Cansbridge Capital, where he serves as Managing Partner, focusing on operations and investments in various sectors.45 His entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to fostering leadership among young Canadians are central to his professional endeavors.
