William Ma

William Ma is a seasoned CPA with over fifteen years of accounting experience across diverse roles such as software revenue accounting, SaaS revenue accounting, accounting operations, and SEC reporting.

He is highly proficient in ASC 606 Revenue Recognition, with hands-on experience in the IPO process and implementing new accounting systems.

William is known as a go-to expert for revenue recognition and accounting system issues, offering innovative solutions and fresh perspectives to streamline processes.

His specialties include working with Oracle Financials, SAP R3, Trintech Cadency Reconciliations Certification, Blackline Reconciliations tool, SFDC, and RevPro.

William Ma holds an MBA in Accounting from Cal State East Bay's College of Business & Economics, along with a BS in Business Administration from California State University-Hayward's School of Business and Economics.

He has held notable positions such as Head of Revenue Accounting at Asana, Director of Revenue Accounting at Twitch, and Senior Manager roles at Uber, Google, LinkedIn, and NetApp among others.

Previously, William served in various accounting and auditing roles at industry-leading companies like Adobe Systems, Zhone Technologies, and Ernst & Young LLP.

Outside of work, he has also contributed as a Board Member at the New Arts Foundation and held positions in governmental organizations like the California Employment Development Department.
