I taught Introduction to Recreation and assisted with other 100 and 200 level courses for the Outdoor Education degree program, with my primary goal to make sure students understand what it means to take on a career in recreation, introduce themselves to current industry professionals, and decide how to enter the field. My instructional design emphasized hands-on and research-based projects to get learners familiar with where their chosen field operates and why it's needed. My interpersonal strengths inspired students to collaborate and be engaged in all activities.
• I was able to leverage my experience with all learning platforms to transition students to remote learning in light of COVID-19.

As the manager for Old Town Escape (promoted in August 2017), I led a team of 4 individuals to coordinate escape room events. I was responsible for establishing customer service goals, booking clients, and new employee training. I was also accountable for staff recruitment and quality control.
• My work with improving customer satisfaction earned us the title of the number one attraction in the entire city.

My role as Graduate Assitant and Lead Facilitator required me to lead a team of 15 undergraduate and graduate students. Our role was to coordinate the student rock wall and challenge course program.  My position was key in part because I was one of three leaders assigned as an on-call specialist to respond to satellite location emergencies.
• I was able to establish new relationships with corporate professionals and host competitive climbing events which earned our program continued business and recognition throughout the region.
• My co-facilitator and I were able to operate as a student-led crew for a full semester during our director's sabbatical.
